Where has common sense gone?

Make an honest mistake. Try to do the right thing. Get arrested, jailed, make bail, suffer embarrasment, humilitation, get suspended for 10 days and live under the pressure of expulsion pending a hearing.
Get elected to S.C. Legislature, attend only 8 percent of sessions, get paid regular salary, plus expenses for travel, meals, hotels and postage. No state ethics laws broken. Anybody know where common sense went? I’m ordering my “We are South Carolina” banners now.
