Watkins seeking to pad points

The “Rock Hill Bad Boy” Ben Watkins is set to defend his Carolina Clash points lead this weekend at the King of the Carolinas race.
The racing focus will be on Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, N.C., for two busy nights for the driver known as the “Rock Hill Bad Boy,” Watkins.
On Friday night, tonight, Watkins will be in his No. 16 Sandwood Racing Limited Late Model car at Carolina.
The action has  qualifying and the main event for the Limited Late Model Division.
Other Lancaster Super Speedway drivers expected to compete with Watkins in the Limited Late Model division will be Timbo Mangum, Billy Lambert, Mike Huey, Jonathan Edwards, David Yandle and more.
Watkins won the points championship in the Limited Late Model Division at Lancaster Super Speedway for the 2015 racing season.
On Saturday night, Watkins will be in his No. 16 Sandwood Racing Super Late Model competing in the Carolina Clash Super Late Model race. Watkins is the series points leader in his first full year of Super Late Model Racing.
Watkins will face a stout field of Super Late Model drivers to compete for the win.
Some of the drivers expected at The King Of The Carolinas race will be Doug Sanders, Kevin Wilson, Anthony Sanders, Joey Coulter, Zack Mitchell, Josh Langley, Johnny Purlsey along with Tim Allen and more.
Watkins will be seeking the win, but also seeking for a even better points night. Watkins has 1,685 points to second-place Doug Sanders with 1,475.

u Lancaster Super Speedway is adding to its racing property over the offseason, building the Mud Bog Track.
The Mud Bog Track will be located outside of LSS turns one and two and will be for trucks, ATVs, UTVs and any other mud toys people may have.
Lancaster Super Speedway is also building a lawn mower/go kart track at the race track on Shiloh Unity Road.
