A Main Street water leak that closed one business this week has city officials waiting out what to do with more than 30,000 gallons of contaminated water.
Lancaster County Administrator Helen Sowell said the city’s public work’s department learned of the leak Tuesday, Oct. 15 after Craig Mathis of CB’s Limited, 207 S. Main St., found the store basement flooded by 15 feet of water.
Sowell said Mathis had gone downstairs in search of fuel odor noticed by employees of the formal wear store.
