"War" should be required viewing

Many of you tell me that you can relate to my experiences as a World War II preteen.

Friends, that’s all I want to accomplish.

No, it’s not a way to bury our heads in the sand. It’s just a way to forget the cares and worries of today’s complicated world and turn back the clock to a much different time.

That’s why the recent Public Television series – War – by Ken Burns is so important. Frankly, I think this documentary should be “required” viewing for every high school student.
