Vols, Jackets register solid region victories

Andrew Jackson and Buford capped regular-season Conference VIII-AA basketball play with impressive wins on Wednesday night.The Jackets, on BHS Senior Night, wrapped up their season with a second win over playoff-bound Lee Central, the two-time defending Class AA state champion.AJ, on a road trip to Cheraw, registered a 58-48 win over the Braves.BHS’s 53-45 win coupled AJ’s victory put the Vols in a three-way tie for second place with Lee Central and Cheraw.LC, for the Class AA Lower State playoffs, took the second seed since the Stallions were 3-1 in games among the three teams.
