The University of South Carolina at Lancaster Lancers’ baseball team split a twin bill with the Limestone junior varsity, taking the nightcap 6-3 on Wednesday in Gaffney.
The Lancers, 4-2, dropped the opener to the Junior Saints, 10-7.
In the nightcap, USCL hurler Andrew Ansley improved to 2-0 with a five-inning effort, allowing five hits, three runs, two earned and a walk. He fanned one.
Alex Davidson, in two innings, posted a save. He yielded a hit and a walk with a strikeout.
