USC rules again in Palmetto Bowl

A month from last Saturday is Christmas Eve.

Yes, the yuletide season is upon us.

With that in mind, quite likely a Christmas-like feeling fell on the University of South Carolina Gamecocks’ football team and its fans late Saturday night when USC upended the Clemson Tigers, 27-17.

It’s a feeling USC has come to know well in the last four seasons. A win, especially on the road, in the rivalry series compares to that special tingle of Christmas. Some even say the winner has a “warm winter.”
