In his guest column in the Nov. 13 edition Michael Jedson asked why he should support Congressman Mick Mulvaney.
Mr. Jedson, you can’t support Mulvaney, and you never will. You are against school vouchers because you don’t want to see competitiveness working in our school system.
You are against tax reform unless you get more taxes to allow more spending. You are against Cut, Cap and Balance for the same reason. You are against a balanced budget.
Government spending is out of control. We are fast approaching Greece, Spain, France and Ireland by turning into a socialist economy.
We have too many government agencies, and all of them are bloated.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is needed, but poorly run. Helping the poor and needy should be completely turned over to the states, and adequately funded.
Hope is on the horizon: 2010 gave us a conservative Congress, and 2012 can bring us a conservative president and Senate. Let’s not just hope, we need to work for it.
Also, taxpayers did not lose money over Edenmoor.
