Two Lancaster County men died in separate automobile accidents Sunday, May 11.
The first accident happened Sunday morning about 4:55 a.m. on McIlwain Road south of Lancaster. Lancaster County Coroner Mike Morris identified the victim as 26-year-old Westley Phillips of Kershaw.
S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Bill Rhyne said Phillips was headed south on McIlwain Road in a 2004 Mazda 6 when he drove off the right side of the road and overcorrected.
His car then veered across to the left side of the road where it struck a power pole and a bridge, Rhyne said
