A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting death of a Lancaster man early Saturday.
The Lancaster Police Department has charged both Junior Lee Kiker Jr., 29, 6051 Shiloh Unity Road, and Samantha Diane Humphries, 29, 708 Sumter St., with murder.
Investigators learned that Humphries and Kiker conspired to rob David Brazzell at his home at 307 Rutledge St., according to a police department press release issued Monday.
Police say Humphries, who used to be Brazzell’s girlfriend, went to his home and was let inside. Kiker then entered the home a few minutes later and shot Brazzell, the release said.
Police received a call about the shooting around 3:20 a.m. Brazzell was taken to Springs Memorial Hospital, where he died about three hours later from his injuries.
Kiker and Humphries are being held at the Lancaster County Detention Center. Their bonds have been denied.
The case remains under investigation. If you know anything about this incident, you are asked to call the Lancaster Police Department at (803) 283-1174 or its anonymous tips hotline at (803) 289-6040.
