Fewer categories and a new logo are changes in The Lancaster News’ popular Best of the Best contest this year.

The contest, in its 11th year, gives readers a chance to vote for their favorite local businesses and service providers.

A new logo has been created for the contest, and the advertising department has slashed the number of categories by about half, said Katie Harrell, coordinator for the contest.

“Some of them were repetitive, like medical specialist and medical facility, which we condensed into medical specialist,” Harrell said.
