Staff Reports
The sound of late summer will include the coaches whistle as high school football practice opens this week.
The 2012 S.C. high school football drills will be impacted by new regulations adopted by the S.C. High School League which will be used to acclimate the players to summer heat conditions. The plan is similar to what college football teams have followed for several seasons.
The guidelines limit practice times and provide periods of rest, alternating between long practice days and short practice days.
