The Lancaster County Recreation Commission summer swim team program will again feature two Lancaster area teams – the Tigers and the Makos.
The Tigers were scheduled to open their season Thursday, June 6 with the first of three straight home meets, but the meet was postponed to Monday, June 10 when the Tigers will swim the Chester Waves.
The Makos opened their season Saturday at Camden.
The Tigers and Makos will swim their home meets at the Lancaster County pool, which is located at the corner of York and Wylie Streets.
The Tuesday and Thursday home meets are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. The home team warms up at 5 p.m., with the visitors to warm up at 5:30.
Saturday meets begin at 9 a.m., with the home team warming up at 8 a.m. and the visitors warming up at 8:30 a.m.
The Makos are led by coaches Denise Walker and Michelle Mothershed.
The Tigers are guided by head coach Charles Henry, who is assisted by Kelly Steen and Jerry Wright.
The annual Aquatics meet is set for July 9-10 at the Kershaw Aquatics Center.
