Thornwell Gamecock-bound

Former Lancaster High School basketball star Sindarius Thornwell will play at the University of South Carolina.
Thornwell, who is playing his senior season at Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va.,  made his decision Monday night, choosing the Gamecocks over N.C. State.
Thornwell, a 6-5, 180-pounder, averaged 28 points, nine rebounds and six assists for the Bruins last season.
