It’s already a whole year since the Taxed Enough Already Party or TEA Party Movement began.
April 15, 2010, is the one-year anniversary, both locally and nationally, of the TEA Party.
This year has been sometimes tough, overwhelming, enlightening and powerful.
Many thought the TEA movement would fizzle out after the first or second rally. Such is not the case.
The people who attended each and every rally are the ones who made this anniversary possible.
There are many issues that are in everyone’s thoughts every day. The three main points that shaped the TEA party are: 1) limited government, 2) fiscal responsibility and 3) personal responsibility.
The coordinators of the local TEA Party have always planned these events with the patrons in mind.
They are bringing American patriots helpful tools that will give them better opportunities to be heard, and to know how to choose the candidate who will better fit their criteria.
The number of people who attend the rallies varies, but the fact that there are enough people to plan another is always impressive.
The second annual TEA party is from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the former Elrod dealership at 845 S.C. 9 Bypass East, rain or shine. Bring your own chairs and umbrellas.
The TEA party coordinators invite everyone, from all of the different political parties, to come out and see what this movement is about.
