The Jimmy Taylor Sr., Memorial golf tournament has been established in memory of Jimmy Taylor by his wife and children. A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, Taylor was an entrepreneur in the logging business for over 40 years.

He was honored as Who’s Who Among American Loggers. He was also a member of the S.C. Forest Association committee. He developed diabetes in his adult years and was an avid supporter of causes which raised diabetes awareness.

Tournament proceeds benefit the USC-L Diabetes Clinic Indigent Patient Fund to provide diabetes education for area residents who might be unable to afford the means to manage their diabetes.
