The Jimmy Taylor Sr., Memorial golf tournament has been established in memory of Jimmy Taylor by his wife and children. A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, Taylor was an entrepreneur in the logging business for over 40 years.

He was honored as Who’s Who Among American Loggers. He was also a member of the S.C. Forest Association committee. He developed diabetes in his adult years and was an avid supporter of causes which raised diabetes awareness.

Tournament proceeds benefit the USC-L Diabetes Clinic Indigent Patient Fund to provide diabetes education for area residents who might be unable to afford the means to manage their diabetes.

For details, call the golf committee at 286-4572. The email address is jtsr.golftourmt@yahoo.com, or gptaylor@windstream.net. The tournament is presented by the Taylor family and friends.
