Trey Tarlton took the Deal I Auto Sales Crate Sportsman Division race at Lancaster Super Speedway on Saturday, Aug. 24.

The Deal 1 Auto Sales Crate Sportsman race featured Jeffrey McGuirt and Jacob Catoe on the front row.

When the green flag dropped, McGuirt, Catoe, Trey Tarlton and Bryan Mullis battled for the lead.

Catoe, exiting turn two, led over McGuirt, Tarlton and Mullis.

As the laps passed, Mullis and Tarlton began to run down Catoe.

Roaring down the back straightaway, Catoe, Mullis and Tarlton went threewide for the lead.

Tarlton took the lead and something happened to Catoe’s No. 17 machine as something broke.

Back to the race, Tarlton led over Mullis. Mullis gave his all in running down Tarlton, but the young driver of the 01 ride was tough in taking the win.

In the Cauthen Motors Pure Street Division the front row was Josh Langley and Andrew Baker. At the green, Langley, Andrew Baker, Brandy Baker and Mike Harrington entered turn one battling for the lead.

Brandy Baker dove below the lead duo entering turn one. This caused Langley to suffer from a Baker sandwich between Andrew and Brandy.

This caused a massive pileup in the middle of turns one and two.

Langley pitted to repair damage, while Brandy Baker retired for the night. Andrew Baker returned to the front row.

When the race restarted, Andrew Baker, Pebo Johnson, Harringotn and Paul Irby battled for the lead entering turn one.

Exiting turn two, Andrew Baker and Harrington battled for the lead. The young driver and veteran driver thrilled the packed stands.

Harrington was all over “The Gambler” machine, seeking a way around the young Baker.

Behind the lead Robbie Helms, Robbie Aldrigde and Josh Langley worked their way from the rear.

All eyes were on Baker and Harrington though, Harrington was on the Baker’s bumper.

Exiting turns two and four, Harrington dove below Baker roaring down the straightaways only to see Baker pull back by on the outside entering the turns.

Coming to the white flag, Harrington gave his all in passing, Baker but on this night, Baker took the  win. The standing only grandstands went crazy for Baker and Harrington after the race with the show they just put on.

In the NDRA GM Performance Late Models main event, the front row was Steve Banal and Daniel Tucker. At the green, Banal, Tucker, Timbo Mangum and Benji Knight battled for the lead entering turn one. Exiting turn two, Banal led over Tucker, Mangum and Knight.

As the laps passed, it was Banal, Tucker and Mangum as the top 3, Banal took the win.

In the M&M Garage Muffler & Tire Extreme 4 main, the front row was Steven “SteveO” Self and Mel Privette. When the green waved, Self, Privette, Floyd Marsh and Scott Barrett battled for the lead.

Exiting turn two, it was Self and Privette battling for the lead.

Self and Privette staged another classic in the Extreme 4 Division.

Privette was all over Self all race long.

At one point, Privette dove below Self in turns one and two with contact. Privette took the lead then in turns three and four. Self dove back below Privette and contact was made, and Self would retook the lead. In the later stages, Privette’s engine expired to cause a caution.

When the race restarted, Self took the win.
