A judge sentenced a Lancaster man to prison late Friday, Jan. 17, after a jury of his peers found him guilty of murder.
David Jamarcus Stalk, 24, 415 E. Dunlap St., was convicted of murder, attempted armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime in the Jan. 26, 2013, shooting of 32-year old Kevisis Anthony of Kershaw.
Anthony died two days later, on Jan. 28, after being shot at several times and hit once in the back of the head near St. Paul and Pleasant Hill streets in the city limits.
Judge R. Knox McMahon sentenced Stalk to 45 years in prison after almost five hours of jury deliberations, from 6 to 11 p.m., Friday.
