Lancaster Super Speedway will host six divisions of racing with the NDRA Crate Late Models headlining the program on Saturday, April 20.

The LSS card also includes the Montgomery Towing Super Street, Deal 1 Auto Sale Crate Sportsman, Cauthen Motors Pure Street, Old School Vintage and M&M, Garage Muffler & Tire Extreme 4/FWD.

In the NDRA Crate Late Model race last Saturday, Steve Banal held off hard-charging Brandy Baker for the win.

In the Montgomery Towing Super Street Division, Brandy Baker and Timbo Mangum battled for the lead in the opening laps, but as the race progressed Baker pulled away for the win.

In the Deal 1 Auto Sale Crate Sportsman Division, seven-time champion Jeffrey McGuirt won over Michael Hough.

In the Cauthen Motors Pure Street Division, Josh Langley took another win back home to Buford, but during most of the race Langley ran second to Robbie Helms as these two ace drivers thrilled the LSS fans all race long. Helms developed a problem late in the race and retired to the pits.

In the Old School Vintage Division, Ben Helms led most of the race, while Chris Fincher and Marty Spittle dueled for second. Once Spittle got around Fincher, he wasted little time in overtaking the lead from Helms to take the win.

In the M&M, Garage Tire & Muffler Extreme 4/FWD main event, Shorty Lacey dominated, but after the race David “Pork Chop” Motes used the buy rule only to see Lacey refuse therefore Lacey would be disqualified and Motes declared the winner.

Saturday night promises more thrills. LSS pit gates open at 4 p.m., and the grandstands at 5. Admission for the pits is $20 and stands $12.

If you missed any racing action from the past Saturday night, visit Jackie Sims in the pits. He has DVDs for sale for $10.
