Lancaster Super Speedway will be hosting the Red Rose Spectacular, with the Cauthen Motors Pure Street Division and Vintage Division highlighting the racing night Saturday, Sept. 22
In the Cauthen Motors Pure Street Division, this is the race everybody at LSS has been waiting for this season.
The event is the Pure Street Turn-A-Round Race presented By Cauthen Motors.
The Pure Street Division is the most popular LSS division, with numerous drivers capable of winning any Saturday night.
Every Saturday night the packed out grandstands are standing room only when the Pure Street Division runs.
The Pure Street Division will qualify Saturday night to set the field for the first main event, a regular 12-lap event and purse. The top eight finishers transfer to the second feature.
Free pit passes for Sept. 28 go to those outside the top eight.
The second main event lines up by pill draw. The second feature is eight laps, $300 to win. All eight in the second feature will be paid a $100 bonus for winning both mains.
The Vintage Division race is being billed as the Starkey and Friends Vintage Memorial Race, paying $225 to win.
The Vintage Division will be running two heat races, with two free Goodyear Tires to heat race winners. The main is a 15-lap event.
Vintage sponsors are Queens Auto Repair of Ringgold, Ga., Napa Auto Parts of Waxhaw, N.C., Careco Generator Service of Fort Mill, Darrells Automotive of Fort Mill, Indian Land Exxon, John Ellison Racing and Windhams Gourmet Pimento Cheese of Indian Land est. 1967.
Other divisions racing Saturday night will be NDRA GM Performance Late Models, Montgomery Towing Super Street, Deal 1 Auto Sales Crate Sportsman and M&M Garage Muffler & Tire Extreme 4. Admission in the pits is $20 and $12 for the grandstands.
Gates open in the pits at 4 p.m. and 5 for the grandstands.
