Solid start keys foursome's win

A good start led to a fine finish for the winning team in the Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce's 20th annual Rub of the Green golf tournament at the Lancaster Golf Club on Thursday afternoon.

The team of Jerry Baker, Darrell Walters, Don Gardner and Tee McWhirter combined for a 12-under 60 to take the title.

The winners were actually tied with another team, requiring a card playoff and the foursome prevailed with a birdie on No. 11. The 18-hole tournament features a captain's choice format.
