The South Mustangs earned a measure of gridiron revenge, posting an 18-6 win over Lancaster middle school rival A.R. Rucker on Wednesday at Memorial Stadium.
Rucker, 5-2, had handed South its only loss, a 14-8 defeat earlier this month in their first meeting at Memorial Stadium.
The Mustangs, led by Dreshun Stewart, forged a 10-0 lead and stayed in control for the 12-point win.
Stewart bolted 44 yards for the opening touchdown and added a conversion run for an 8-0 SMS edge.
