Indian Land’s Wesley Scott and Lancaster High’s Sha’Quandra Waters each earned a silver medal as state runners-up in their respective events at the state track meet on Saturday at Spring Valley High School.Waters, a LHS freshman, heaved the shot 36 feet, 3.75 inches. She finished behind Summerville’s Stacee Roberts with a 39 feet, 4-inch effort.Waters, the Region III-AAAA shot champion, qualified for the state meet placing eighth in the state qualifier at Spring Valley.“We’re real proud of Sha’Quandra,” LHS track coach Corey McIlwain said.
