In the last few months, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office has received grants totaling more than $183,000.
The first grant was awarded to the sheriff’s office by the National Liquor Law Enforcement Association. The $25,000 grant is intended to help the office focus efforts on impaired driving, underage alcohol offenses, alcohol-related crimes and compliance checks at establishments licensed to sell alcohol.
The grant provides funding to put extra deputies on the street to focus on these efforts.
