Senior Circle is a non-profit resource program offered by Springs Memorial Hospital. The mission of Senior Circle is to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle for seniors by providing programs that encourage continued learning, wellness, health, volunteer opportunities and social activities at our hospital and throughout the community. We also provide a forum for fellowship and member-only discounts and privileges.
Senior Circle offers its members activities such as yoga, balance, walking, line dance, crochet and bridge. We have a Senior Circle library that offers a large selection of books, which have been donated for your enjoyment. We have “Popcorn and a Movie” each month at Springs Memorial Hospital.
The benefits to Senior Circle members are health education programs, in-hospital benefits, local merchant discounts, travel, prescription discounts, vision-care, car rental and hearing-care discounts. We also offer free copying, fax and notary service.
Our most popular benefit to our members are Lunch and Learns. We offer two each month and members hear from physicians, hospital staff and various community leaders about current health topics, new services available at our hospital and other pertinent education while also enjoying a complimentary lunch. Our upcoming topics are “Medicare and our Hospital Processes,” “Curves for Women,” “Stroke Signs and Recovery,” “Diabetic Eye Disease,” “Dental Implants,” and “Diabetes Education.”
If you are interested in hearing more about these informative health topics or joining some of the activities, please stop by the Senior Circle office, located on the first floor of Springs Memorial Hospital or call (803) 416-8350.
You must be a Senior Circle member to participate in these events.
Membership is only $15 per year for an individual or $27 for a couple and is open to adults age 50 or older.
