After two years of working toward its implementation, the Lancaster County School District and others across the state will not be using the Smarter Balanced assessment to test students on Common Core Standards next year.
Local school board members learned of the development at their Tuesday, April 15, meeting. School board members also received updates on the county’s Capital Project Sales Tax referendum process and approved times for end of school year releases, baccalaureates and graduations.
