All of the Lancaster County school board members on the ballot Tuesday won re-election.
Don McCorkle, who represents District 1, bested two challengers – political newcomers Leland Hughes and Kevin Sexton.
McCorkle got 2,137 votes (47 percent). Sexton garnered 1,529 votes (34 percent) and Hughes got 860 votes (percent).
All of the figures are unofficial. The county's Election Commission will certify the results Friday.
McCorkle said he had to get out and campaign a lot more than he did in 2006. He believes his message resonated with voters.
