Johnny Roscoe’s lure out of coaching retirement some four years ago was to build a football program from scratch in the area of his college days at Guilford College, N.C.
His building program, achieved in notable timely fashion, reached the prep football pinnacle last Saturday night at N.C. State’s Carter-Finley Stadium where his Northern Guilford Nighthawks soared to the top of Tar Heel State grid elite with a state championship.
