Recreation swim season opens Tuesday

The Lancaster County Parks and Recreation summer swim team season opens this week with a new format for 2011.

The Lancaster County recreation swim program will be divided into two teams, the Lancaster Makos and the Lancaster Tigers.

Dividing the team will help with the swim meets length and will help with having equal competition among the competing swim teams.

Midenna Anderson has retired from 15 years of coaching the Lancaster swim team and will remain on board as the Lancaster County Aquatics Director.
