The Lancaster Dixie Ponytails are riding high after winning the state championship and a bid to the World Series.The Lancaster Ponytails, in a do-or-die situation, rebounded from a tournament-opening loss to Hartsville to defeat Hartsville 5-0 for the state championship on Wednesday night at the Bobby Richardson Recreation Complex in Sumter.In the title game, Katy Ghent, who won three tournament games, went the distance, allowing one hit and a walk.
