Rekia Polk paced the Columbus Parker Track Club in a ninth-place finish out of 27 teams at the Battle of the Border youth track meet in Spartanburg.
Polk, in the girls 11-12 girls age group, won the long jump and 100-meter dash. She also ran a leg as a fill-in in the girls’ 13-14 4 x 100 relay.
Polk teamed with Kemaria Ingram, Alexandria Williams and Makalah Wallace to win the 4 x 100 relay in the girls’ 13-14 age group.
