Police reports - June 26, 2009

According to Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office reports:

• Construction materials were stolen from Haddington and Allendale drives in Indian Land between June 15 and 18.

Lumber, a window, a Kenmore dishwasher and a Kenmore microwave were stolen from three homes under construction. The materials and appliances have a total value of $1,275.

• Someone broke into an Ernest Scott Road home in Kershaw between June 13 and June 23 and stole a 1.25-carat diamond ring.

The ring, valued at $6,500, was taken from a dresser. There were no signs of forced entry at the home, the report said.

• Someone broke into Abundant Harvest Ministries on Charlotte Highway on June 22 or 23 and stole $1,000.

The burglar apparently removed part of the outside wall to get inside the building and came in through the bathroom ceiling, the report said. Two 5-gallon jars containing the money were stolen. Damage to the building was estimated at $200.

• A Willie Reed Road resident said someone broke into his home between 4 a.m.  June 22 and 1:30 a.m. June 23 and stole several items.

A .32-caliber Smith and Wesson pistol, two watches, four gold chains and four bracelets were stolen from the home.

The items have a total value of $1,200. The front door sustained $250 damage in the break-in, the report said.
