According to Lancaster Police Department reports:
• A Lancaster man was arrested on an assault charge after gunshots were fired at Pardue Street Apartments.
Antonio Fitzgerald Singleton, 18, 1648 McManus Lane, was charged with aggravated assault and carrying a pistol.
According to the report, police responded to Pardue Street about 10 p.m. June 22 because of gunshots fired.
A woman said she heard some people arguing outside her apartment and saw a man pull out a gun, swing it and hit someone with it. She later heard six gunshots and found that the window of her husband’s pickup truck had been shot out, the report said.
Another man told police that he had been arguing with Singleton and Singleton pulled out the gun and hit him on the neck, the report said.
The man said he continued talking with a friend and then someone stepped out from the side of an apartment and began shooting, the report said. The man said he ducked behind the pickup truck that was damaged.
Singleton was arrested on June 23, Capt. Harlean Howard said.
• A Lancaster man told police that he was stabbed during a fight at Good Time Charlie’s early July 5.
The 32-year-old man said he was approached by a man who wanted to dance with the woman he was with at the bar, the report said. The victim said his friends and the friends of the other man began to fight, and during the fight, he was stabbed in the leg. The fight was broken up by security and the victim was taken to the Springs Memorial Hospital emergency room, the report said.
The victim had two small stab wounds on his leg, the report said.
• Two Lancaster women were arrested after a traffic stop on North Main Street on July 9.
Laureen Waiters, 60, 1596 Old Camden Highway, was charged with second offense driving under suspension and operating an uninsured vehicle.
Dannette Kay Snipes, 50, 2354 Continental Drive, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
An officer stopped Waiters after seeing her make a quick turn into the Travel Lodge parking lot. The officer found a pipe believed to be used for smoking crack in Snipes’ cigarette case, the report said.
According to Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office reports:
• A Lancaster woman was arrested after deputies responded to the Dawg House bar on Grace Avenue because someone was passed out in a car after the bar was closed June 24.
Sheila Rene Parkman, 44, 3079 Great Falls Highway, was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of a controlled substance.
According to the report, deputies found Parkman inside a Honda at the bar. When she woke up and got out of the car, she was stumbling and appeared intoxicated, the report said.
Deputies found pills in Parkman’s purse after they took her to the Lancaster County Detention Center, the report said.
• Jewelry was reported stolen from a Knollcreek apartment July 6.
The victim said he left the apartment at 12:45 p.m. and left the door unlocked. When he came home at 3:20 p.m., he found that the house had been burglarized, the report said. Five gold rings, four gold bracelets and two baby rings were taken from an upstairs bedroom. The jewelry is valued at $1,600.
• A Ten Oaks Drive resident told a sheriff’s deputy that between 4 p.m. June 21 and 9:30 a.m. July 5, someone went into her home and stole jewelry and cash.
The report said a gold chain, two rope chains, a pearl necklace and jars of 50-cent pieces and silver coins were taken from the home. There were no signs of forced entry to the home, the report said.
The items have a total value of $1,175.
• Appliances were stolen between July 6 and 7 from a modular home being set up on Duckwood Road.
A range, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave were taken from the home. The appliances are all General Electric and are black. Tan drapes were also taken. Total value of the appliances and drapes was listed on the report as $2,025.
There were no signs of forced entry at the home, and there were no steps on the front or back of the home at the time of the theft, the report said.
• A North Carolina woman was charged with drug possession after deputies stopped her July 8 for speeding on U.S. 521 near Sun City Carolina Lakes.
Ginger Carol White, 37, of Indian Hill, N.C., was charged with simple possession of marijuana. According to the report, when deputies stopped White, they smelled marijuana in her car. They searched the car and found marijuana in the ashtray. White was given a ticket for simple possession of marijuana.
• A Monroe woman was arrested on drug charges on July 6 after a traffic stop on Shiloh Unity Road at Lamp Light Road.
Kendal Lynne Wentz, 26, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
The report said the car Wentz was riding in was pulled over by deputies because it traveled left of the center. Deputies saw a open beer in the backseat. The three women in the car initially denied possession of a pocketbook on the floor of the front passenger side until Wentz claimed it as hers, the report said. Deputies found marijuana and a hydrocodone pill inside the pocketbook, the report said.
