According to Lancaster Police Department incident reports:

  • A 26-year-old Lancaster man reported threats he received on his cell phone March 2. The man told officers he received several text messages where an unknown person threatened to harm the man’s wife. The messages also accurately described clothing his wife was wearing that day. The unknown author also said he had borrowed jumper cables from the woman that day. Officers spoke with the wife, who said she had spoken to an unknown man that day and let him borrow jumper cables. She described him as a tall black man, wearing a blue toboggan, a large red jacket and black jeans.
  • Three people were arrested on various drug and weapon charges following a traffic stop at a safety checkpoint March 2. The driver, Samuel Farleh Blamon, 29, 509 W. Barr St., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of marijuana after police found a marijuana grinder in a center console and a bag filled with what is believed to be marijuana on the driver’s seat, a report said. A passenger, Carston Mario Degraffenreid, 23, 441 South Ave., was charged with unlawful carrying of a pistol after officers found a pistol under a seat near him, the report said. Police then learned that another passenger, Zachary Ezekiel Gustafson, 22, 1212 Chesterfield Ave., had bench warrants for his arrest. A female passenger was allowed to drive the car from the scene.
  • Two women were arrested on various drug and traffic charges following a traffic stop at the intersection of Arch Street and Glenwood Avenue on March 2. Ebony Sanders Doster, 23, of Monroe, was charged with driving under suspension, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, while Belinda Melanesia Peay, 35, 416 E. Gay St., Lancaster, was charged with simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and seat belt violation, a report said. Officers found a marijuana blunt and a small bag of marijuana in one woman’s jacket, as well as a grinder and two other marijuana blunts in a cup holder, the report said.
  • A Lancaster woman reported March 5 someone stole her husband’s Ford F-150 truck from her driveway, as well as a flat-screen television and a gun safe from inside her home on Davis Street. Estimated cost of the items is $8,900.
  • A woman reported March 5 that a man she knew had used her bank card without her permission to withdraw several large sums of money. Police are investigating almost $1,800 in unauthorized withdrawals from the woman’s account, though no arrests have been made.
  • A 23-year-old Lancaster woman reported a possible online scam March 7. The woman told officers she had wired $2,800 to someone selling a 2007 GMC Yukon through an auction on eBay, a report said. The woman said the money was collected, but she did not get the truck. Detectives are investigating the case, the report said.
  • Police arrested a Lancaster man on drug charges following a fight at the Carriage Inn on March 8. Kevion Kenyata Craig, 18, 1113 Laughridge St., was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and disorderly conduct after he fought with a crime prevention officer outside the inn, a report said. During a search of Craig, officers found nine bags of marijuana in his pockets, the report said.
