Plyler-Hinson Wedding

Alison Maree Plyler and Michael Jay Hinson were married Dec. 14, 2013, at Unity ARP Church in Lancaster by the Rev. Charles Hammond.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale M. Plyler of Lancaster. She is the granddaughter of Robert M. Plyler of Lancaster and the late Margie Plyler and of Martha McDow of Lancaster and the late George McDow Sr. She is a 2003 graduate of Lancaster High School. She received an associate’s degree in nursing from York Technical College in 2008 and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of South Carolina Upstate in 2012. She is an intensive care nurse at Springs Memorial Hospital.
The groom is the son of the late Carol Hinson and of the late Jackie Hinson. He is the grandson of the late I.W. and Virginia Hinson and of the late Arthur and Louise Richards. He is a 1999 graduate of Lancaster High School and received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Winthrop University in 2007. He is a business planning analyst with Founders Federal Credit Union.
Maid of honor was Anslee McDow of Lancaster, cousin of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Maggie McDow and Madison Adams, both of Lancaster and cousins of the bride.
Best man was Billy Hinson of Heath Springs, uncle of the groom.
Groomsmen were Neil Couch of Lancaster and Eddie Couch of Heath Springs.
Flower girls were Sophie Sinor of Charleston, cousin of the groom, and Chloe Adams of Lancaster, cousin of the bride.
Ring bearer was Belk McDow of Lancaster, cousin of the bride.
Register and program attendants were Mr. and Mrs. George McDow of Lancaster.
Music was provided by organist Gladys Cox, soloist Tim Dippel and soloist Madison Adams, all of Lancaster.
The bride wore a long sheath gown of ivory chiffon with a sweetheart neckline embellished and adorned with Swarovski crystals. The bodice was designed with asymmetrical ruching that fit through the waist and hips. The gown flowed into a chapel illusion train that was completed with a laced corset. She wore a double-layered, waist-length veil of ivory illusion accented at the edges with crystals. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas with green hypericum berries and seeded eucalyptus.
A reception was held at the Unity ARP Church fellowship hall.
After a cruise to the eastern Caribbean, the couple lives in Lancaster.
