Today is the 12th anniversary of “the day that changed the world.” A lot has changed since knife-wielding hijackers crashed two airplanes into the World Trade Center, toppling its twin 110-story towers, slammed a third plane into the Pentagon and a fourth crashed in a Pennsylvania field.
The National September 11 Memorial & Museum is under construction near ground zero and is set to open in 2014.
The museum stands not only as a testament of remembrance, but also to our nation’s resiliency to rebuild and rebound.
