Lancaster Post 31 built a 7-2 lead and held on to even the best-of-five American Legion baseball Upstate title series at 1-1 with a 10-7 win over Greenwood Post 20 at Eggleton Field on Thursday night.

Devin Rodgers led the P-31 offense with four hits, three RBIs and scored a run. Tripp Rollings drilled three hits, including a two-run homer.

Colt Ellis added two doubles and a pair of RBIs. Tyler Rodgers supplied two hits.

Jonah Crenshaw and Trey Payne each produced a hit and drove home a run.

Bobby Delly and Sid Watson each had a hit and Tripp Wright drove in a run.

Chandler Gardner, 8-2, was the winner, working 7.2 innings and allowing seven runs, eight hits and four walks. He fanned three.

Kendall Knight, who earned the save, went 1.1 innings and allowed a hit and struck out one.

Lancaster, with the win, improved to 19-7 on the season.

Post 31 visits Greenwood Friday, July 20 for a 7 p.m. game. Lancaster hosts game four on Saturday night.
