The Lancaster Dixie Baseball Ozone stars did it the hard way, but got it done.
The Ozone stars, on the final day of the tournament after battling out of the loser’s bracket, need two wins to capture the district title and a bid to the state championship tournament and completed the task as they defeated the Rock Hill Nationals, 9-4, 5-4.
The Ozone state tourney will be played at the new complex in Georgetown July 14-19. Lancaster, the District 2 champions, will play the District 5 champs at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 14.
