The memories of meetings long since past swirled about the historic courthouse earlier this month as three Lancaster County Council members said their goodbyes.
Sharing food, laughs, hugs and remembrances with a large group of family and friends, outgoing council members Kathy Sistare, Rudy Carter and Cotton Cole were all recognized during a drop-in event Dec. 10.
After saying a few words about each member, Councilman Larry Honeycutt presented each with a plaque, some adorned with ceremonial gavels, to thank them for their service.
