County Council will consider rezoning a heavy industrial site along the Catawba River on Riverside Road for a residential development at Monday night's meeting.
LGI Land wants to develop 2,000 acres along the Catawba River and build about 1,000 homes there. The land only has water service, and would require a septic tank system. Lots would range from less than an acre to more than 2 acres and cost $100,000 to $125,000.
