Lancaster is poised to become a “hotbed” for call centers, and local officials want to get potential workers trained before the companies even locate here.
Lancaster County Economic Development Corp. President Keith Tunnell said his board has given him the go-ahead to pursue partnerships and training opportunities for Lancaster County residents without jobs.
The training may give residents a leg up on the competition should a new call center locate here, Tunnell said.
