The Lancaster News added a new government reporter to its team this week.
Christopher Sardelli, 27, joins the paper as a full-time government reporter covering Lancaster, Heath Springs and Kershaw. He'll also cover courts.
He previously worked as a freelance writer for The Herald, The Enquirer-Herald, The Fort Mill Times and Lake Wylie Pilot, all in York County, and The Gaston Gazette in Gastonia.
Sardelli grew up in Northern Virginia and received a bachelor of arts degree in government from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va. He later moved to Boston to pursue a master's degree in journalism. He received the degree from Emerson College in 2007.
While in Boston, Sardelli served as reporter and photographer for two sister newspapers, The Beacon Hill Times and The Back Bay Sun.
