New doctor to come to Kershaw

KERSHAW – Another family doctor is coming to Kershaw.

Dr. James Koon has been hired by Springs Memorial Hospital to lead a new family practice started by the hospital at 206 S. Matson St. It will open Nov. 19.

Koon will offer the traditional spectrum of family care, ranging from young children to the senior population, said Janice Dabney, assistant chief executive officer at Springs Memorial Hospital.

"Usually, we'll start with one physician and see if we can build from that with more," Dabney said.
