University of South Carolina pitcher-outfielder Steven Neff received the call of a lifetime for the third time in his baseball career, but he’s focused on the Gamecocks’ task at hand.
Neff, the former Lancaster High School and Lancaster American Legion Post 31 baseball star, was one of 11 USC players drafted this week in the annual Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
Neff, a junior pitcher-outfielder, was taken in the 41st round by the World Champion San Francisco Giants on Wednesday.
