“A vote is like a rifle: its usefulness depends upon the character of the user,” said Theodore Roosevelt in 1913. It is as true today, as it was a century ago.
Americans know they have been herded – at stampede speed – down a steep, treacherous and unfamiliar path by Democrats such as Congressman John Spratt to “fundamentally transform America.” But transform America into what, exactly?
Mick Mulvaney, the Republican candidate running for U.S. District 5 seat, if elected, will answer that question and will champion the effort to stop the stampede dead in its tracks.
President Barack Obama’s Democrat-controlled government has stolen ownership from private bondholders of General Motors, stripped ownership from individual owners of Chrysler Corp., private banks, credit unions and insurance companies. You know, the “Too big to fail” bunch.
Just how long do you think it will take for Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John Spratt and President Obama to create yet another scheme to steal your home, car, bank account, IRA, retirement and 401(k)?
Mick Mulvaney has pledged to fight for and protect all of American’s property rights, including pensions, 401(k), Social Security, Medicare and health care choice.
Mulvaney also firmly believes in and will lead the effort for term limits. He is convinced that legislation such as the stimulus, Obamacare and takeovers are examples of what happens when career politicians are allowed to run amok.
Examples of their arrogant abuse abound and are close to home. Democrat Budget Committee Chairman Spratt did not create a congressional budget, although it is required by law.
Mr. Spratt also failed to vote to extend the Bush tax cuts. Spratt also strongly supports Obamacare and the elimination of the Bush tax cuts for some.
Mulvaney believes the Bush tax cuts should be made permanent and Obamacare repealed, and should be done as soon as possible. Failure to do either or both will further damage the economy and every citizen of America.
It is no secret that locally our unemployment rate exceeds a whopping 15 percent. John Spratt and his fellow career political Democrats simply do not care even though they realize these very same unemployed victims are now facing huge cost increases under Obamacare, where per-person deductibles of $1,500 or more are now common place.
Make sure your vote in November hits the proper target. Vote to elect Mick Mulvaney as your representative to Congress.
