Alison Marie Mielke and David Lawrence Laroche were married Sept. 14, 2013, at First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill by Pastor Philip Bunch.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Arnold Mielke of Lancaster. She is the granddaughter of Juanita Mielke of Lancaster and the late Arnold Mielke, and Edna Inez McCorkle of Lancaster and the late Cleatus McCorkle.
She is a 1999 graduate of Lancaster High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University in 2003. She works for Travelers Insurance.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Elphege Laroche of Woonsocket, R.I. He is the grandson of Russell Marquis of Woonsocket and the late Catherine Marquis.
He is a 2001 graduate of Blackstone-Millville Regional High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Curry College in 2005. He works for Travelers Insurance.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Matron of honor was Laura Ann Koeck of Waxhaw, N.C., sister of the bride.
Best man was the father of the groom.
Flower girls were Brooke Koeck and Rachel Koeck, both of Waxhaw and nieces of the bride.
Honorary attendants were Jill Vaughn of Simpsonville and Meredith Starnes of Lancaster.
Ushers were Brian McKittrick of Rock Hill and Jonathan Young of Fort Mill.
Music was provided by vocalist Nicole Trull of Lancaster and organist Patrick Robinson of Rock Hill.
The bride wore a strapless formal gown in ivory organza, accented with ruching on the bodice. A café satin band around the waistline was adorned with a crystal broach. The modified A-line skirt was adorned with lace appliqués. Covered buttons and a semi-cathedral train accented the back. She wore a cathedral veil and carried a bouquet of pink and red garden roses and purple hydrangeas, wrapped with satin ribbon.
A reception was held at the Field Trial Barn in Fort Mill.
After a honeymoon in St. Maarten and St. Thomas, the couple lives in Rock Hill.
