Melton cites family support at induction

Max Melton said having family attend his S.C. High School Football Officials Hall of Fame induction on Saturday made it special.

"When you work high school games and are away from home a good bit, you have to have the support of your family," Melton said. "My family was able to attend the induction and it meant a great deal to me.

"Their support is greatly appreciated," he said. "My wife (Karen) and my two children (Matt and Casey) and my parents (Mr. and Mrs. Max Melton Sr.) attended and that made it special.
