Cameron Meadows, a fifth-grade student at North Elementary School, has been selected to participate in the People to People Ambassadors Program in Austria this summer.
Meadows, who will play basketball in the Friendship Games, was selected following a recent interview.
In addition to the basketball, Meadows will visit several World War II sites and learn about Austria’s culture.
The People to People Sports Ambassadors Program was founded by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956.
