Masons honor Glenn Watts for service to state lodges

One of Lancaster’s finest, Glenn R. Watts, was recently honored for a lifetime of exemplary and distinguished service to the Masonic Order of South Carolina.
The award was presented on behalf of Wannamaker Masonic Lodge No. 329, Flat Rock Masonic Lodge No. 178, and the 24th Masonic District of South Carolina, along with other lodges throughout the Palmetto State.
A Lancaster native, Watts is married to the former Peggy Rowell. He is a retired vice president of Kanawha Insurance Co. The Watts have two children and four grandchildren.
Watts became a member of Wannamaker Lodge in 1955 and has remained a member in good standing of the Tradesville since that time. Watts has held several offices including Wannamaker Lodge master, district master of the 24th Masonic District of South Carolina and grand commander of the Knights Templar of South Carolina.
Watts has consistently displayed great honor throughout the fraternity in his duel roles as a leader and mentor. He has always freely given of his time, talents and expertise to the brotherhood of masonry.
Through his leadership, Watts has established high standards for masons throughout the United States to emulate and practice to enhance ancient freemasonry.
