The 34th annual Universal Martial Arts Championships featured a full day of activities at the Springdale Recreation Complex on March 8.
The tournament drew competitors from six states and two countries – Canada and Trinidad.
The event opened with breaking competition and closed with the adult black belt kata and fighting.
Shihan Richard Brown of San Antonio won the black belt kata grand championship, defeating nine other division champions.
